RESEARCH PROGRAMME
Master of Science (MSc)
The aim of the research programme is to produce graduates in Master of Science in line with the UNIMAS desire to expand and move far beyond the academic and research excellence. In order to satisfy this aim, Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs) has been formulated based on the visions and missions of UNIMAS.

Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs)
(Economics)
PEO2: Knowledgeable leaders that can lead and motivate others to apply digital and numeracy skills for problem solving in the field of economics.
PEO3: Competent with a strong interest in lifelong learning and entrepreneurship in broadening their own knowledge in their areas of expertise and other related fields (including ICT) to effectively explore and exploit opportunities in the relevant industries.
PEO4: Responsible individuals who possess ethical values, good teamwork, and communication skills in their professional undertakings, either in their chosen field of employment or through independent research.
The programme shall produce graduates who will be:
PEO1: Highly skilled individuals and able to undertake independent research that develops practical skills that contribute to the advancement of fundamental and applied knowledge in the field of economics.PEO2: Knowledgeable leaders that can lead and motivate others to apply digital and numeracy skills for problem solving in the field of economics.
PEO3: Competent with a strong interest in lifelong learning and entrepreneurship in broadening their own knowledge in their areas of expertise and other related fields (including ICT) to effectively explore and exploit opportunities in the relevant industries.

PEO3: Competent with a strong interest in lifelong learning and entrepreneurship in broadening their own knowledge in their areas of expertise and other related fields (including ICT) to effectively explore and exploit opportunities in the relevant industries.
PEO4: Responsible individuals who possess ethical values, good teamwork, and communication skills in their professional undertakings, either in their chosen field of employment or through independent research.

Duration of the Programme
The Master of Science (MSc) degree is a full research programme under the supervision of an experienced member of academic staff or a supervisory panel. A panel is made up of graduate staff and experts from either within or outside the University.
Students may choose their research topics from the fields of studies offered by the faculty ranging from accounting and finance, marketing and management to entrepreneurship and economics.
The duration of studies is:
• Full Time: 2 - 4 years• Part Time: 3 - 6 years

Entry Requirements (as approved by Senate Nos. 04/2020 -189)

- A Bachelor degree with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 or equivalent, as accepted by the Senate; or
- A Bachelor degree or equivalent with at least CGPA of 2.50 and did not achieve CGPA of 2.75, may be admitted depends on rigorous internal evaluation, or
- A Bachelor degree or equivalent but with CGPA less than 2.50, may be admitted subject to a minimum of 5 years working experience in the relevant field.
- Other equivalent qualifications approved by the Senate.

For international students, a minimum IELTS Score of 5.0 or its equivalent ( eg. TOEFL-525; TOEFL Computer Test-196; TOEFL Internet Test 69-70 or MUET Band 3) is required
Duration of Study
The normal duration of study for a Master's degree (by research) is (2-4) years full-time or (3-6) years part-time.
