Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be a Malaysian citizen; and
- Must be a permanent academic staff (Professor, Associate Professor, Senior Lecturer, Lecturer); or
- Contract-based staff must have a permanent co-researcher.
- Non-Malaysian applicants must have a Malaysian citizen as a co-researcher with permanent status.
- Each applicant is allowed to submit only one (1) research proposal per cycle.
- New applications from Principal Researchers with previously approved projects will be considered, provided they demonstrate at least 70% project completion (verified by RIEC).
Funding Allocation for 2025 Cycle:
The funding ceiling for 2025 is Ringgit Malaysia SEVENTY-FOUR THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED AND EIGHT (RM74,308.00), including Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) costs at RM2,000/month (RM1,770.25 allowance + RM220 EPF + RM9.75 SOCSO) for two years.
