SCOPUS

As of January 2025, Scopus has updated its journal list, adding new titles while discontinuing others to maintain quality.  However, some journals have been discontinued due to concerns over editorial practices, citation manipulation, or quality decline.

To maximize publication impact, all of us should strategically select Scopus-indexed journals aligned with their work, assess impact metrics, and verify indexing status before submission. Planning involves defining publication goals, managing submission timelines, and adhering to ethical standards. The discontinuation of journals emphasizes the need for vigilance, ensuring work is published in reputable venues. Regularly reviewing the Scopus list is crucial for informed decision-making in academic publishing.
