Evan Lau obtained his
doctorate degree in international economics at Faculty of Economics and
Management, Universiti Putra Malaysia. Currently, Lau
is a Lecturer in Faculty of Business, Universiti
Malaysia Sarawak and Managing Editor of
International Journal of Business and Society (IJBS). He research
interests include, Applied Econometrics, Sustainability of External and
Internal Imbalances, Current Account Modeling,
Economic Integration and Nonlinearities in Time Series Analysis. His article
published in Journal of Asian Economics has been cited as a Top 20 of
the most requested articles in 2003 and recently his article in Japan and
World Economy [Vol.18, No.1, pp.90-107] has been cited as No. 4 of the
hottest articles in Science Direct database in first quarter 2006. Among his
articles in the international and local journals includes Economics Letters,
Japan and the World Economy, Economics Bulletin, Journal of Asian Economics,
Journal of Asia Pacific Economy, Journal of Economics Integration, Journal of
